W00t, I have tickets to go to a performance of Puccini's Madame Butterfly next week! *bounces*
God, this was a lame first episode. Showtime obviously wanted to compete with HBO's Rome but in my mind they failed miserably. Jonathan Rhys Meyers seemed nothing but listless and boring to me despite his apparent role of Court Casanova. I frankly couldn't care less about all his sexual escapades (who were all these women anyway?) and I laughed during the few scenes in which he was supposed to be dramatic and/or powerful. And I don't like Sam Neill's acting. Period.
Mmm. I also doubt the historical accuracy of this series. I'm so ordering Rome 2 on DVD, to watch it all over again and sigh contentedly.
YAY FOR NEW DRAGON'S DEN EPISODES! Totally can't wait. But why has Richard Farleigh quit? I loved him on the show. :/
This weeks
thefridayfive:
1. How long can you hold your breath? Around about a minute. I used to be pretty good at it when diving was still a hobby but now it's come down a bit.
2. How long do you wait to cut your hair? Way too long. I go to the hairdresser's once, maybe twice a year. But that's mainly because my hair is longlonglong and I only go there to get the split ends cut.
3. How long do you normally wait at the grocery? I get easily frustrated when queueing, so I try to avoid the busiest hours as much as I can. Still I tend to go on Saturday mornings and I have to wait for about 20-40 minutes. Grrr.
4. How long can you sing a song without getting the lyrics wrong? I'm not good at singing. Actually I sing so bad I don't eve try anymore. Sorry, no answer.
5. How long is the best relationship you've been in? Three years.
