A quick hair-related, very girly question: I have pretty long hair (as some of you know), hip-length, really. o_O It just came to be that way because I didn't want to let it be cut to something more normal when I was a four-year-old and it's just stayed that way ever since. It's my pride now! :)

But it is flat, SO flat. It just hangs there being dead and I'm fed up with that! Until the hair became too heavy, I had lovely brown curls and I miss them lots. I try to braid my hair after I wash it and it gives this nice, wave-y effect but it only lasts for a day. I'm also too clumsy to use a curling iron. *headdesk*

Although I'm a total newbie at hairstyling, I'm thinking of a perm. I'm also very underinformed. Is it really that bad for your hair? If I do it, should they cut it much shorter because it'll otherwise just go straight again after a couple of days/weeks? Does anyone have any experience with this?

I am also totally buying Twilight, so watch out for any Edward fangirling here in the future! I'm also waiting for my copy of The Tale of Genji by Lady Murasaki to arrive, I've been waiting for it so long. Japanese literature is so much my thing right now, from The Pillow Book to Haruki Murakami.

...hogwarts_today is going on a hiatus? O_O With all of the new LJ trouble (apparently f-locked posts aren't 'safe' either) this may seem the safest thing to do, but... I don't want to see my fandom crumple. I really don't. ;_;

I'm in list-mode now because otherwise this post'll be too messy and incoherent.

1. Apparently one's brain capacity does decrease for around twenty percent after two weeks of vacation - I just caught myself skipping a fantastic documentary on German Expressionism to watch a Pokémon (the nostalgia!) episode on Kidtv. o_O I loved the fact that I remembered the names of about 80% of the pokémon featured - and that's something to be even more ashamed about, probably.

2. I also just found out my latest Amazon order isn't going to reach me before the 23rd. I WANT TO READ TWILIGHT, DAMNIT! All the fic and discussion and fangirling is making me go insane with neeeed. And if I like the book, I'll have to order New Moon and Eclipse and... *sighs* It seems impossible to think that they managed to deliver my Jekyll-DVD in only one day a few weeks ago.

3. Yesterday I submitted my first and last hermione_ldws drabble (over at LJ). It's so bad it's going to get me kicked out before I can prove anything. Really. But I couldn't get this idea out of my head (I HAD to submit it, d'you know that feeling?) and I wrote a 1,000 word fic about it. Had to cut everything until it fit in the 499 words-category. :( I used to think drabbling was far easier than writing longer things, but I've changed my mind over the past year, obviously.

And yay for new H/Hr fic over at fanfict00bs (LJ)!

4. I was tagged to do the "list seven quirks/habits/facts about yourself" meme-thing, and I'm going to do it when I have enough time on my hands. Although it's summer vacation and then generally I'm lazy, I rather have a lot to do today. :/

I crave for some sun! I still haven't seen any real summer weather and it's mid-August. How I hate living in wet, cold Belgium/Western-Europe sometimes! I love the feeling of being snuggled up all warm inside my house, hearing the rain clatter on the roof... in the AUTUMN, damnit! ;_;

Posting here for the time being, as well as in my GJ and of course, still the LJ.

So... Dean/Luna. Another ship that popped up right after DH. A lot of people seem to be writing about them at Shell Cottage... including me. I don't know why but I couldn't resist. When I first thought about writing something after DH, my mind was all about Harry/Luna for some reason (as I thought they really had more of a click than Harry/Ginny, especially in DH). But suddenly there was a click. Dean/Luna. Sometimes my brain works like that. Hello, new ship!

Are any of you at all interested in it? Or am I the oddball again? :)
